  1. That’s quite some reading list. The novels struck me as odd – middlemarch is to be expected but Oliver Twist doesn’t strike me as one that offers a lot of critical debate. Or ami totally off the mark?..

    • Tell me about it! Yes, the novels are a weird combination … I think it is trying to include novels that are open to critical debate and that cover and reveal several aspects of Victorian life 🙂

      • the one that seems to be on uni syllabus reading lists a lot these days is Dracula. Awful book but the lit crits love it   Karen Heenan-Davies
